Cookie Butter Sauce 🍪🧸
Ingredients
- ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup cookie butter (Biscoff-style)
- 1 tbsp butter
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Start the base
- Add water + brown sugar to a saucepan over medium heat
-
Stir until fully dissolved (don’t rush this or it’ll taste grainy)
-
Build the flavor
- Add cookie butter + butter
- Whisk continuously as it melts in
-
Keep heat at medium-low (if too high and it separates)
-
Season it
- Add cinnamon + salt
- Let it gently simmer 3–5 minutes
-
You’re looking for slightly thick, glossy consistency
-
Finish
- Remove from heat
-
Stir in vanilla (don’t cook it out)
Texture Control
- Too thick → add water 1 tbsp at a time
- Too thin → simmer another 1–2 mins
- It thickens as it cools, so don’t overcook
How to Use!
- Latte: 1–2 tbsp per drink
- Cold foam: mix into milk before frothing
- Drizzle: let it cool slightly so it sticks better
Storage
- Fridge: up to 1 week
- Reheat: low heat + splash of water (it will tighten up)
